Mount Nittany Health revises masking policy

Officials with Mount Nittany Health announced that, effective immediately, masking will no longer be required at its locations, unless a visitor or patient is symptomatic or has tested positive for COVID.

Staff says that anyone who still wishes to wear a mask may do so, and the hospital will continue to provide masks to those who wish to wear one.

“Mount Nittany Health’s first priority has always been the safety of our people, patients, and visitors,” said Tiffany Cabibbo, DSc, MSN, RN, CENP, Executive Vice President, Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer. “To this end, our team has continually monitored recommendations, mandates, and guidance from the CDC, OSHA and state and local public health organizations, and has set our policies accordingly.”

Officials also noted that Mount Nittany's visitation policy with return to its pre-pandemic requirements.

“We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and CDC, state and local requirements and make adjustments in the future, if necessary.”
