Authorities with the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General say a Blair County business owner is facing charges after she reportedly failed to pay over $69,000 in state sales tax.

According to the affidavit, investigators say Melinda Robenolt, the owner of McAbee's Subs in Altoona, reportedly failed to pay the taxes from 2020 to 2023.

Authorities say prior to the charges being filed, she was reportedly cited and fined numerous times.

Investigators say Robenolt admitted to using the money to help keep her sub shop open after it was reportedly negatively impacted by the pandemic.

Authorities noted that her sales license had also been previously revoked and her business should not have been in operation.

According to online court records, Robenolt faces dozens of counts of theft and failure to pay charges.
