A TikToker slammed DoorDash drivers who refuse to leave orders at the door.
When did DoorDash become meetup dash and why don't delivery drivers actually deliver?" the woman wrote in the caption of the video, which she uploaded to the social media platform on April 20. I’m not meeting you outside of my complex. I want the food at my door. I am paying for a premium service and tipping on top of it so I don’t have to go get the food. What’s the point of me tipping almost 30% if you can’t bring the food to my door?” the TikToker says in the video. As of Monday, the video garnered more than 124,000 views and at least 900 comments, with several others claiming their DoorDash driver had asked, or even demanded, that they come outside to meet them for a handoff.
In a separate incident, a TikToker went viral after alleging in a video that a DoorDash driver lingered outside her home for around 20 minutes after placing her order at the door, allegedly texting her "Can you please come out here?"

“Listen, I get it. I did DoorDash. I get it. It’s annoying to go into apartment complexes, but nobody’s forcing you to do DoorDash and go into these apartment complexes,” the TikToker said.
However, current and former DoorDashers also chimed in, writing that they would refuse going to the door of certain locations due to safety concerns.
"As a woman who does DoorDash, I'm leaving it in your lobby. I've had way too many run ins with creeps. I promise taking an elevator down is not bad much better than driving and picking it up yourself," a user commented.
"I can only speak for myself when I Dashed. But, there were some very sketchy situations where it was unsafe to deliver to the door," a former DoorDasher wrote.
Several other commenters wrote that their Dasher would often show as a woman in the app, only for a man to arrive to make the delivery.
Replying to a comment, a woman wrote that she had changed her name to something more masculine in an attempt to deter DoorDashers from knocking and waiting until she answers, writing that it had worked "magically."
